Who Are The Tactics-0 Club?

The Tactics-0 club first met on 20 November 1999 to play Traveller board and miniatures games (Striker, Azhanti High Lightning, Invasion: Earth, Mayday, Brilliant Lances,...).  The club meets monthly to play another game.  We typically play the main science fiction wargame game in the afternoon, breaking for dinner and then continuing with a variety of lighter games in the evening (or continuing on with the main game).

We also decided to branch out and play other science fiction games that were similar to the Traveller universe, and we discovered Jon Tuffley's Ground Zero Games (GZG) series (Stargrunt II, Full Thrust and Dirtside II).  We've used the GZG games to play out a number of our Traveller universe battles.

A few years ago someone said that our multi-day anniversary meets were like "mini conventions" and so the idea of having a game convention was hatched.  Since we like Traveller related games and GZG's games we decided to have a 2-in-1 convention with CelestiCon for Traveller and sci-fi gaming and, after talking with Jon Tuffley, resurrecting Ground Zero Games West Coast Convention.
